Been too Long...

since I wrote in here. Not much has happened since the convention, which I didn't tell you about so here goes...

We got to the hotel Friday morning and checked in, and what a hotel it was… We only got one bed for the three of us that were staying. When we were paying for the room, one of Corie’s cards was declined, but we didn’t think much of it, we just thought we were under by a little, so we used Corie’s other card. Plus the woman behind the counter was being a total bitch and never gave us a receipt or anything… When we went into our room, it hadn’t even been cleaned yet, so we just put our bags in the room and called them to clean it while we went down to the convention center to pick up our tickets. After that, my friend Maya and I got into costume in our now-clean room. We took some pics of me in my Lady Gaga costume, and then went down the street to Denny’s for lunch. We had some laughs because there was this old couple in the corner that was staring at all of the people in costumes. Also they had this weird bacon special going on. They even had a bacon ice cream sundae and bacon salt on the table that made us laugh. Even funnier is that Corie and I had a BBBLT (bacon x3, lettuce & tomato) sandwich. When we left, Corie’s card was declined again, so we knew something was up with his money, so when we got back to the finally clean room we checked his accounts. Turns out he was charged on both cards; his card shouldn’t have said it was declined in the first place. So now we were out a hundred bucks for the weekend, which meant no swag… Corie went and talked to them about it and got it straightened out, but the money didn’t come back into his account until Tuesday. We went down to the con and went in the dealer’s room to look at stuff we now couldn’t buy, and got sad so we decided to go back to the room and go to the pool to relax. At the pool, Maya’s underwater camera decided to stop being waterproof, and we had to go buy rice at Walgreens to try and dry it out. I don’t know if it got fixed or not. That night we decided to play a drinking game called Kings with the vodka we bought the previous night. It didn’t take long for us to get drunk, especially Corie! Corie is a very silly drunk, the kind that always says “I love you”; Maya laughs at everything when she’s drunk; and I learned that apparently I’m an emo drunk because I kept crying over the littlest things, like a spilt cup of ice or the fact that we had no insurance. I only know all this because we recorded ourselves with my camera, but I must have said “we don’t have insurance” like 10 times! Watching it the next day was very amusing. Corie ended up throwing up that night and sleeping near the sink, but he says he was glad it wasn’t in the morning when he threw up because he would have been more conscious of it. Also Maya found out that her cat had to be put down that night, which made us all kind of emo. On Saturday, Corie and I dressed up as Team Rocket grunts from Pokemon and got a lot of pictures taken of us. We didn’t do that much that day except walk around and order pizza. That evening our friends Manny and Janae were going to come to the con to go to the rave held by the convention, but they ended up getting there late because of traffic. So instead of going to the rave without them, we decided to go with them to Universal CityWalk and go clubbing. We were going to do karaoke too at a place called Rising Star, but we never got to go up and sing. After that we went back to the room, Manny and Janae went home, and we went to sleep. On Sunday, me and my husband dressed up as cat girls. He cross dresses sometimes for fun, and this was the first time he did it in public. We checked out of the room, and had to go park at the convention center parking lot which cost $8! We got a lot of pics of people that day, and went around the dealer’s room and got cards from all the vendors we liked. We left a little early because all three of us were pretty worn out. The end. lol

Ok, now I am eagerly awaiting the midnight release party of Tron: Legacy on Blu-Ray (or DVD, depending on what you own)...hooray for Tron, this is a good day to be a geek. Holla!
