I Take Offense.

My mom asked me what was wrong with my friend Gabby. I was confused so I asked her what she meant and she told me that we usually attract weird people. I was like "gee thanks", but she swears she didn't mean it that way. She goes on to say that usually "people like her" do not hang out with "people like us" Oh, I'm so glad she didn't mean it that way. So because my friend Gabby is a normal, vibrant, attractive young woman that means she shouldn't be hanging out with us freaks! Nice. Real nice.

Things to Do Before Feb 17th!

I know I keep saying I won't go back, but if my new friend's Gabby and Josh are going...I must go! It will be so much fun. A weekend of awesome. So here is a list of things I need to do before Megacon. Of course not in order of importance.

-Perfect Lady Gaga costume
- work one those Gaga yellow diamonds. Use wire and fabric.

-Work on Katy Perry costume.
-make heart headband with cardboard and glue and purple glitter
-try to find some pink fluffy stuff that resembles cotton candy
-buy lavender wig

-Finally buy Team Rocket boots to finish the Team Rocket look.

-Get Gabby and Josh to do Alice in Wonderland with us. Find Gabby cute Cheshire Cat costume, find Josh an awesome Mad Hatter costume....make them cosplay.

-Save money for fancy hotel. 200 a night.

-Buy convention tix before they raise the prices.

-Request days off, make sure to remind Gabby and Josh to request days off.

This is Stupid.

I have a friend who is bisexual. He hasn't told everybody, but everyone thinks he's gay anyway. Every time the subject is brought up, he claims he's strait, even though he has confessed to me and several others...he's bi. Why has he kept it a secret from people who have known him longer than I have? If everyone has thought once that he was gay and still accepted him, then why try to hide that he's bi? It makes it so difficult to talk around people because I do not know who knows and who doesn't. He keeps the stupidest secrets. It's so nerve-wracking!

Forgot to Mention

Thus past Saturday, I nearly broke down in tears because a customer called me incompetent. I'm not a genius, but I am far from incompetent. It was a horrible thing to call me and the fact that I had customers behind him meant that I needed to suck it up. I told him he was being rude and he rudely tried to apologize, but it still sucked for me. After work, I cried. I felt so angered by his rudeness, I just couldn't stand it.

My parents had two children.

My brother (born in 82) and myself (born in 84) and although I am the youngest...they treat him like a baby. They only protect him, not me. It's all about him. I know I am strong, I know I am independent. I know I have it better than he, being married and having somewhat of a social life, but they act like I am wrong for asking for him to pay me back 100 bucks within a decent amount of time. I do not mind loaning money to people, but yes I do expect it back. Why? Because I have no money!

Lately...

I've been thinking too much. Just so you know, on May 1st Osama Bin Laden was killed, the man who was the mastermind behind the attacks on 9-11-01. Justice has been served, and also that happens to be one of my closest friend's birthdays. The day before we went to a pretty cool Japanese place, called Hokkaido, kinda like Kobe Beef, but half the price. We also played games at her house and had cupcakes baked at a cupcake wars winner's shop, Sweet! by Good Golly Miss Holly. Anyway, the news has been mostly about the death of Bin Laden, and interestingly enough, Hitler committed suicide on the same day in 1945. Completely separate from this news is that my favorite singer of all time, MC, has given birth to twins. Also The Rock's b-day was today err, rather on the 2nd of May. WWE Raw had a big b-day bash for him, it was great! Ok, well now that I realize all I have done is ramble, time for bed. Good night.

Been too Long...

since I wrote in here. Not much has happened since the convention, which I didn't tell you about so here goes...

We got to the hotel Friday morning and checked in, and what a hotel it was… We only got one bed for the three of us that were staying. When we were paying for the room, one of Corie’s cards was declined, but we didn’t think much of it, we just thought we were under by a little, so we used Corie’s other card. Plus the woman behind the counter was being a total bitch and never gave us a receipt or anything… When we went into our room, it hadn’t even been cleaned yet, so we just put our bags in the room and called them to clean it while we went down to the convention center to pick up our tickets. After that, my friend Maya and I got into costume in our now-clean room. We took some pics of me in my Lady Gaga costume, and then went down the street to Denny’s for lunch. We had some laughs because there was this old couple in the corner that was staring at all of the people in costumes. Also they had this weird bacon special going on. They even had a bacon ice cream sundae and bacon salt on the table that made us laugh. Even funnier is that Corie and I had a BBBLT (bacon x3, lettuce & tomato) sandwich. When we left, Corie’s card was declined again, so we knew something was up with his money, so when we got back to the finally clean room we checked his accounts. Turns out he was charged on both cards; his card shouldn’t have said it was declined in the first place. So now we were out a hundred bucks for the weekend, which meant no swag… Corie went and talked to them about it and got it straightened out, but the money didn’t come back into his account until Tuesday. We went down to the con and went in the dealer’s room to look at stuff we now couldn’t buy, and got sad so we decided to go back to the room and go to the pool to relax. At the pool, Maya’s underwater camera decided to stop being waterproof, and we had to go buy rice at Walgreens to try and dry it out. I don’t know if it got fixed or not. That night we decided to play a drinking game called Kings with the vodka we bought the previous night. It didn’t take long for us to get drunk, especially Corie! Corie is a very silly drunk, the kind that always says “I love you”; Maya laughs at everything when she’s drunk; and I learned that apparently I’m an emo drunk because I kept crying over the littlest things, like a spilt cup of ice or the fact that we had no insurance. I only know all this because we recorded ourselves with my camera, but I must have said “we don’t have insurance” like 10 times! Watching it the next day was very amusing. Corie ended up throwing up that night and sleeping near the sink, but he says he was glad it wasn’t in the morning when he threw up because he would have been more conscious of it. Also Maya found out that her cat had to be put down that night, which made us all kind of emo. On Saturday, Corie and I dressed up as Team Rocket grunts from Pokemon and got a lot of pictures taken of us. We didn’t do that much that day except walk around and order pizza. That evening our friends Manny and Janae were going to come to the con to go to the rave held by the convention, but they ended up getting there late because of traffic. So instead of going to the rave without them, we decided to go with them to Universal CityWalk and go clubbing. We were going to do karaoke too at a place called Rising Star, but we never got to go up and sing. After that we went back to the room, Manny and Janae went home, and we went to sleep. On Sunday, me and my husband dressed up as cat girls. He cross dresses sometimes for fun, and this was the first time he did it in public. We checked out of the room, and had to go park at the convention center parking lot which cost $8! We got a lot of pics of people that day, and went around the dealer’s room and got cards from all the vendors we liked. We left a little early because all three of us were pretty worn out. The end. lol

Ok, now I am eagerly awaiting the midnight release party of Tron: Legacy on Blu-Ray (or DVD, depending on what you own)...hooray for Tron, this is a good day to be a geek. Holla!

So This Is It

I am thinking that her deleting he lj has given me my answer. She really is done with me. She doesn't want me to find her at all. It's over. This is it. I no longer have a best friend. Somehow I thought it would hurt less than this considering all the shit she has put me through, but actually I am getting a major headache thinking about it, of course that could be due to the fact that I have to go to work soon. Uggh. Just what I need angry customers. Well you know what? I still have friends who mean the world to me and who treat me like a true friend should be treated, so like the journal is title, I'm Still Breathing.

No More Pretending

I think I am done pretending I mean anything to my ex best friend. She doesn't care for me, never did and even though I sat around moping that I had lost someone important to me. Even though I sent her a long message only to get no reply, even though it hurts me like a bitch, I cannot sit here and pretend like she was an angel. She treated me like dirt and even though it's hard for me to accept that I let her take advantage of me and even though it sucks that I let her use me and it sucks she never cared. I need to just let it go. I need to move on. She never loved me like a sister and she never will. I will cherish those good memories we had, but that's as far as it goes. No looking back. No more pretending.
